          10-year-old killed in e-scooter crash identified as Cortez Elementary student

          The collision involving a pickup truck left the 10-year-old child dead and another 9-year-old child with non-life-threatening injuries, police said previously.

          Latest deadly crash part of worrying trend involving e-scooters, e-bikes

          A 10-year-old was killed and a 9-year-old was injured while riding an e-scooter and crashing on Owens Avenue. Parents cite long-standing safety concerns in the area.
          Police say this collision injured two juveniles, one of whom was pronounced dead. Another "was transported to a nearby hospital with unknown injuries."

          Lt. Cody Fulwiler with LVMPD's Traffic Bureau urged the Las Vegas community to do their part to prevent this from happening again.
