The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

Las Vegas police say there was a barricade due to a domestic-related incident near Far Hills Avenue and the 215 (near the Pavilion Center). A man initially refused to come out of a residence in the area. Police say he has since come out. No injuries reported.

Area near the barricade:

5:30 P.M.
There is a large police presence near the Pavilion Center in west Las Vegas. We have a crew on the way, check back for updates.

2 P.M.
Las Vegas police are looking for 64-year-old Irene Sanchez. She has been missing since 7:30 p.m. Dec. 31 in front of the Bellagio fountain. She was wearing a black oversized hoodie with a tan sweater underneath, grey or silver sweatpants, and blue Ugg-style boots. She has been classified as endangered.

UPDATE: Police informed the media on Jan. 3 that the missing woman has been found safely.

9:10 A.M.
Las Vegas police are at the scene of a shooting involving the department at the Vista Del Valle apartments in the 4100 block of West Viking Road near Wynn Road. Police say that a person is in custody. Victim involved in incident was transported UMC Trauma with non-life-threatening injuries. No officers were injured. READ MORE.

7 A.M.
A police chase has ended with the arrest of 2 people near Duneville and Oakey Boulevard. It is unknown how the chase began, but Chopper 13 caught up with the action early on. Watch livestream below.


6:15 A.M.
Police and emergency personnel are on the scene of a crash near Rancho Drive and Smoke Ranch. Police say a mother was walking with her 5-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter when the mother and son were struck by a turning vehicle. The boy sustained a broken foot and the mother has a bruised hip. The daughter was not struck. Impairment is not a factor and the driver stayed on the scene.

5 A.M.
North Las Vegas police say they shot a person shortly after midnight near Allen and Craig Road. READ FULL STORY.
