LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A 17-year-old boy was arrested Tuesday after a shooting killed another teen and injured two other people during the First Friday event in the Arts District last week, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.

The teen, since identified as Isaac Manriquez, was initially booked into Clark County Juvenile Hall for open murder and two counts of attempted murder with a deadly weapon. The case has since been transferred to adult court, a Clark County courts spokesperson confirmed Wednesday.

"The law provides that if a 17-year-old juvenile is arrested on a charge of murder then the matter is considered a 'direct file,' meaning the matter proceeds directly to the adult court system," a spokesperson for the Clark County District Attorney's office told Channel 13.

The person who died after shots rang out on Oct. 2 was identified by his family as 15-year-old Carth Onasi Jacobs-Rodgers, who was a student at Desert Pines High School.
