The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department has shared that one of the three victims of Friday night's shooting at the Arts District was pronounced dead at the hospital.
In a statement sent by Metro, officers were in the area when they heard shots fired. Upon their arrival, they found three people that were hit by gunfire. Medical personnel took all the victims to a nearby hospital, where one was declared dead.

Detectives determined that a physical altercation took place between several people when an "unknown male produced a firearm and began shooting, striking multiple individuals" before fleeing the scene.
First Friday has also released a statement to social media regarding last night's shooting in the Arts District.
In the statement, the organization confirmed that the shooting occurred during the last few minutes of their event.
First Friday said that they are working to "[identify] the most thorough and appropriate response possible" before any future events take place.

Channel 13 has learned that a shooting is under investigation in the Arts District.

Traffic cameras show multiple emergency vehicles and first responders in the area. Sections of the roadway are taped off near Charleston Boulevard and Main Street.
According to the RTC, all lanes are blocked on westbound and eastbound Charleston Boulevard at Art Way to Grand Central.
We're learning from the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department that three victims were confirmed. They were hospitalized in unknown condition.

LVMPD shared that the area has since been secured, and an investigation is underway.
The Arts District hosted First Friday tonight.
