LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Las Vegas residents looking to get a sneak peek at the Raiders ahead of their move to town next season can look to HBO for their fix.
The NFL franchise announced earlier today that they had been selected to appear on HBO’s “Hard Knocks” for its five-episode run this summer beginning Aug. 6.
It is a joint production between HBO Sports, the team and NFL Films.

The show, which is entering its 14th season, selects one NFL team to shadow during the preseason and features behind-the-scenes access and interviews with players, coaches and other team officials.
Over the last four seasons, HBO says the series has averaged 3.9 million viewers per hour-long episode.
The Raiders will play their final season in Oakland this summer before their scheduled move to Las Vegas next year.
They were one of five teams eligible for inclusion in the show along with the New York Giants, the San Francisco 49ers, the Detroit Lions and the Washington Redskins.
According to an HBO release, "A 30-person NFL Films crew will be in Raiders’ training camp in Napa Valley, shooting more than 1,750 hours of footage over the course of the series. Camera and sound crews will have unencumbered access to players’ and coaches’ meeting rooms, training rooms, living quarters and practice fields.”
