Las Vegas breaking news for August 12, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for August 12, 2018.

10:36 P.M. 

Police say they found a man with a gunshot wound in the breezeway of an apartment building at the Silver Pines Apartments at 6650 E. Russell Road. He was pronounced dead at the scene. No suspect information at this time.

10 P.M.

Henderson police were involved in an incident around 8 p.m. in a parking lot in the 2600 block of Windmill Parkway. The officers were hit by a vehicle. READ MORE

4:13 P.M.

A male pedestrian was struck by two vehicles at South Las Vegas Boulevard and West Sahara Avenue. He was transported to UMC in critical condition. Nevada Highway Patrol will be investigating the crash. 

2:52 P.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a serious injury crash between a vehicle and a motorcycle at West Charleston Boulevard and Brush Street. Charleston is closed at Brush while officers investigate.

5:18 A.M.

One man is dead after Nevada Highway Patrol officials say he fled from police when they attempted to pull over his Chevy pick up near the intersection of South Bruce Street and Fremont Street. The man eventually crashed into a wall near North Eastern Avenue and Fremont Street. Police were not in pursuit at the time. Speed was a factor.
