LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department is attempting to locate additional witnesses and victims following the arrest of Kendrick Weatherspoon.
WATCH | Mary Kielar spoke to investigators, both current and former, about what the potential victims might be feeling right now:
Weatherspoon, 47, was arrested on Feb. 17 after police said he made an attempt to "kidnap and lure a juvenile." He now faces the following charges:
- Attempted kidnapping of a minor (1st degree)
- Luring a child or mentally ill person
- Child abuse or neglect
Metro believes that other attempts may have been made by Weatherspoon to lure more victims to a vehicle. A photo of that car was provided to us by police.

"If we want justice for all the victims, as many people need to step forward as possible," retired LVMPD investigator Hiedi Campbell told Channel 13. "Not only will they seek justice for this person," but "victim advocates are able to help them and provide them with some services to work through these kinds of traumas."
Team Chief of Clark County's SVU Peter Thunell said victims coming forward can mean their path to healing can start, and it also helps the prosecution of the case.
"I see this case after case, where people keep it bottled in," he said. "Sometimes, something like this is the point that they can say hey this happened to somebody else, I need to share this."
Channel 13 also recently learned that Weatherspoon appears in the Nevada Gaming Commission and the Nevada Gaming Control Board's list of excluded persons (also known as the Black Book).
If you have any information or believe you may have been a victim, you can contact the LVMPD Vice Section at 702-828-3455 or Vice@LVMPD.com. If you'd like to remain anonymous, contact Crime Stoppers of Nevada at 702-385-5555, or online at www.crimestoppersofnv.com.
