FLORIDA (KTNV) — The Las Vegas (12-3) clinched a playoff berth Saturday afternoon as the Aces scored the first 13 points of the fourth quarter to break a 56-56 tie en route to an 80-63 victory over the New York Liberty (2-13).

The win moves Las Vegas into a first-place tie with Seattle, pending the outcome of the Storm's game Saturday afternoon against Chicago.

A’ja Wilson scored in double figures for the 15th straight game to start the season, the 23rd straight game, and the 71st time in her 74 games as a pro (20 points). It was also the 10th time she has scored 20 or more points this season, and the 35th in her career.

Angel McCoughtry scored in double figures for the 13th game this season, and the 273rd time in her professional career (10 points).

Kayla McBride scored in double figures for the 10th time this season, and the 143rd time in her professional career (10 points).

Dearica Hamby scored in double figures for the 13th time this season and the 76th time in her career (17 points). She added 10 rebounds for her 3rd double-double of the season, and 14th of her career.

The Aces are off to their best 15-game start in franchise history at 12-3.

Amanda Zahui B finished with a career-high 21 rebounds for New York, including 13 in the first half. All 21 were on the defensive end and set a WNBA record in the process.

The Aces welcome the Phoenix Mercury on Tuesday, Sept. 1 at 10 p.m. ET/7 p.m. PT.
