LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — It's official, Bryson Stott is a Philadelphia Phillies.
The 21-year-old product of UNLV was selected 14th overall by the Phillies in the MLB draft earlier this month and finalized his first professional contract today.

The deal is worth $3.9 million according to the team.
Stott, who was born in Las Vegas and attended Desert Oasis High School, is listed as 6-feet 3-inches tall and 200 pounds. He plays shortstop and won several honors during his collegiate career, including Collegiate Baseball's Freshman All-American Team in 2017 and Collegiate Baseball and Perfect Game/Rawlings' All-America Third Teams. In three years at UNLV, he amassaed a .340 batting average with 15 HR, 97 RBI and 234 hits in 171 games played.
He joins fellow Las Vegas native Bryce Harper. The superstar joined the Phillies this past offseason.
