LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The college baseball season is in full swing but UNLV Rebel Baseball is still waiting to play their first game of the season, and the first game in almost a year.
UNLV's opening series against New Mexico State was canceled due to a positive COVID-19 test within the Aggies program.
Now the Rebels will start their season against in-state rival UNR.
The team says it's ready to get back out on the field.
The Rebels will host the Wolfpack this Saturday in a doubleheader.
