LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — 14 different NFL teams sent representatives to Monday’s annual UNLV Pro Day on campus.

Taking part in the events at Rebel Park were 10 UNLV Rebels who just completed their college careers: RBs Lexington Thomas and Evan Owens, DBs Dalton Baker and Jocquez Kalili, LB Bailey Laolagi, WR/DB Darren Palmer, OL Nathan Jacobson, and DL Ammir Aziz, Jameer Outsey and Roger Mann.

Former UNLV quarterback and linebacker Johnny Stanton, who spent last season on injured reserve as a fullback for the Minnesota Vikings, was also on hand to compete in positional drills.

Organized by UNLV Director of Football Strength and Conditioning Sean Manuel, the day included official measurements, the vertical jump, broad jump, bench press, 40-yard dash and three-cone drill.

Lexington Thomas, out of Houston, Texas, drew a crowd to witness his highly anticipated runs and did not disappoint, reportedly being clocked by some at sub-4.30 (official time not yet available).

"Lightning Lex" last fall became just the second UNLV running back to be named either first or second team all-conference more than once in a career.

Thomas rushed for 1,067 yards and 12 touchdowns as a senior while adding a career-high 19 catches for 165 receiving yards.

He broke multiple long-standing school records, including most rushing touchdowns in a career (40), most TDs scored overall (43) and most 100-yard rushing games (18).

His 3,551 career rushing yards ranks second among all Rebels and eighth in Mountain West history.

“It was a pretty good day,” said Thomas, who has been training in the Houston area. “I got some good times and have a couple of workouts scheduled with teams coming up. Hopefully my time (today) pushed me up from being an undrafted free-agent.”

Teams with a scout on campus Monday were the Browns, Broncos, Redskins, Lions, Packers, Raiders, 49ers, Bears, Jaguars, Colts, Giants, Bills, Falcons and Jets.

The 2019 NFL Draft will take place April 25-27 in Nashville.
