LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The UNLV volleyball team is gearing up for the start of the spring season.
Last week the Mountain West Conference announced its pre-season rankings.
It put the Rebels as the second best team.
The Rebels say that proves how far they have come in the past few years but also shows they will be able to compete with any team this season.
Coach Dawn Sullivan says they want to win the conference, but it's about getting better each day.
"It's all those small details that will really matter though, and I think our team has done a tremendous job there and making sure that they work every day to improve the," Coach Sullivan said.
UNLV opens its season at home against San Diego State Thursday at 6:30 p.m.
