LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Now that sports are coming back, local sportsbooks are seeing more action.
We talked to Derek Wilkinson from the Westgate sportsbook. He says that since Major League Baseball started playing last week, the sportsbook has gotten busier and busier every day.
And now that the Golden Knights will be in the Stanley Cup Playoffs next week, it's only ramping up.
It's been a tough stretch not only for local sportsbooks, but also for gambling throughout the state.
In June, Nevada won $566 million according to the state gambling control board.
That is almost half of what the state pulled in during June of last year.
