A report from the San Francisco Chronicle says the Oakland City Council has authorized an antitrust lawsuit against the Raiders.
The article cites Oakland City Councilman Noel Gallo who said the suit should be filed before the Raiders home opener on Monday.
The article also says the Raiders have told Oakland Coliseum leaders they will not extend their lease for the 2019 season if a lawsuit is filed.
While the team has remained quiet on the potential lawsuit, Clark County Commission Chairman Steve Sisolak addressed the team's potential need to move before the Las Vegas Stadium is completed in 2020.
"We've got a couple of facilities we could make up to the task. There would be a cost associated with that, both Sam Boyd and we talked about the speedway at one point. We'll come up with a place to put them if that is what it takes," Sisolak said.
