Major League Baseball has formally canceled the 2020 All-Star game due to the coronavirus pandemic, according to MLB.com and The Associated Press.

The game was originally scheduled to take place on July 14 at Dodger Stadium. However, teams will be in the middle of Summer Training Camps during that time in preparation for a shortened season.

As part of the announcement, MLB said that the 2022 All-Star Game would be played in Los Angeles. The 2021 All-Star Game is already scheduled to take place in Atlanta.

The MLB is currently slated to begin playing a 60-game season on either July 23 or 24.
