Conor McGregor and Floyd Mayweather are preparing to square off on August 26 in what is widely considered the biggest fight in history.

The money these two athletes will reportedly make will blow all of its predecessors out of the water. That is why McGregor and Mayweather are currently preparing for a 5-city press tour to further promote the event. Promotion is an important part of building the fight to a historic level and it'll be the first time the two will sit face-to-face.
That makes the current ticket prices for the boxing match even more shocking.
With no promotion, upper-level tickets are going for $2,000 and up. That's nothing compared to the near $100,000 price tag attached to floor seats. The highest ticket is priced at $98,500 but there's also floor seats going for $81,107, $80,000 and $79,000.
Many fans thought Mayweather's fight against Manny Pacquiao in 2015 priced-out the casual fan – these are far greater than those.
Mayweather Promotions, Showtime Boxing, and the UFC have yet to formally announce a date for purchasing tickets, although many expect it to come as soon as July 11. If these prices hold up it'll easily break the record for highest boxing gate in Nevada history.
The question is: will hardcore fans be willing to shell out the money?
