this is not a typo or an error. this story contains "no capitals" and here's why.

the vegas golden knights are facing off against the washington capitals in the stanley cup final starting on monday, and clark county officials are showing their support by not using capital letters in correspondence during the series (when appropriate).

county officials credit 98.5 fm radio host chet buchanan for coming up with the #nocaps campaign.

city of las vegas officials also tweeted out their support of the #nocaps campaign with an image of the "welcome to fabulous las vegas" sign in lowercase letters (no, it was not actually changed).

“this has been a dream season, and it has been great to see the community come together in support of our home team,” commission chairman steve sisolak said.

county commissioners have also declared all golden knights game days as "knight up days" throughout the county. residents are encouraged to show their support by wearing golden knights clothing and displaying team banners and flags.

game days include may 28, may 30, june 2 and june 4. if necessary, the series will also include june 7, june 10, and june 13.
