HENDERSON (KTNV) — A young boy from Henderson just returned from the trip of a lifetime.

Caden Cadaval was selected by the Pittsburgh Steelers to represent their team on the NFL's Next 100 roster at Super Bowl 54 in Miami, Fla.

The hard-hitting 9-year-old plays several positions on his youth football team. Caden's electrifying highlight reel stood out among 18,000+ others who entered the "Next 100 Super Bowl Contest."

If you watched pregame festivities, you probably saw Caden and dozens of other kids running out on the field before the coin toss. They also appeared in an advertisement representing the league's future stars.

"I was really excited," Caden said. "Everybody was looking at us and getting loud and then [you had] all the NFL players looking at you."

Meeting NFL players is nothing new to Caden.

In fact, former Steeler and Hall-of-Famer Rod Woodson visited the Cadaval's home a few weeks back to deliver the exciting news.

Caden stands out for his work on the football and baseball field but his mom says he's a great student, as well.

"He works hard everyday," Cadaval said. "He does baseball, he does football, he does tae kwon do. We push him very hard. We just just want him to continue doing well in school and [keep] working hard."

Caden says he hopes the hard work will lead to a career on both the football and baseball field, just like his idol Bo Jackson.

Maybe Caden will be back at the Super Bowl as a player one day.
