The pair was arrested last month after Nye County investigators say the couple had not improved water conditions at the boarding school.

Last year, investigators discovered that the tap water at Northwest Academy contained arsenic.

Investigators also say some teachers were physically abusing the students.

The couple's attorney says they are being wrongly held and that the abuse claims came from a former employee who was fired.
