Las Vegas breaking news for September 12, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for September 12, 2018.

7:50 P.M.

Las Vegas Metropolitan Police report that a child was shot at a business located on the 1800 block of East Tropicana Avenue, near Spencer Street. The child was transported to Sunrise Hospital and their condition is unknown at this time. READ MORE

4:30 P.M.

A woman and a dog were found deceased in a house that caught fire on Sienna Ridge Drive. READ MORE

3:20 P.M.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue was responding to a kitchen fire at a home in the 9300 block of Sienna Ridge Drive, near Fort Apache Road and Charleston Boulevard, when an unresponsive person was found. Paramedics have responded. READ MORE

3 P.M.

A man was found dead near Wigwam Parkway and Traverse Point, which is between Stephanie Street and Gibson Road in Henderson. The body appeared to have been shot and was discovered outside around 1:46 p.m. Wednesday.

2:30 P.M.

North Las Vegas responded to a residence in the 3300 block of East Lake Mead Boulevard, near Pecos Road. They located two people connected with a Sept. 2 homicide near Bruce Street and Cartier Avenue. Both the suspects came out of the home but another person, not believed to be a suspect, has refused to come out of the residence. A barricade has been set up. 

10:55 A.M.

An armed robbery has occurred at the cashier cage of a casino in the 3800 block of South Las Vegas Boulevard, near Tropicana Avenue. Police said it happened at the Excalibur hotel-casino. No injuries were reported. READ MORE

6:30 A.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a stabbing at 7121 E. Lake Mead Boulevard. From Chopper 13, police vehicles were seen surrounding a gas station at that intersection. One person was pronounced deceased at the scene. No suspect(s) are in custody at this time.
