The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

6 P.M.
Las Vegas police were working a barricade situation in the 9600 block of Cherry Canyon Avenue, near Alexander Road and Grand Canyon Drive. Police made contact with a person wanted in connection with a domestic incident from earlier in the week and he was refusing to exit a home. This person eventually was taken into police custody at about 10 p.m.

1:32 P.M.
A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near Boulder Highway and East Sun Valley Drive around 1:32 p.m. The pedestrian was transported to Sunrise Hospital in critical condition. The driver remained at the scene and did not appear to be impaired. The pedestrian was in a marked crosswalk at the time.

9:04 A.M.
North Las Vegas police are responding to a shooting involving the department near 215 and Lamb Boulevard, police say. No other details were immediately available. 13 Action News has a crew on the way, check back for updates. READ MORE

7:21 A.M.
RTC reports there is a vehicle-fire on I-15 Southbound at Sahara. The on-ramp and HOV lane are blocked. Avoid the area.
