This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for March 1, 2018.

10:45 P.M.

North Las Vegas police say two males were shot in their car around 9:30 p.m. at an unknown location. They then drove their car to the Murphy's Express located at Craig Road and Clayton Street. The men were transported to the hospital with one man with serious injuries and one man with minor injuries. The Murphy's is closed at this time while police investigate.

9 P.M.

Las Vegas police say a woman is dead after a tour bus struck a bus stop at Desert Inn and Eastern at 8:06 p.m. The bus was traveling eastbound on Desert Inn when it left the roadway for unknown reasons and hit the bus stop and a woman. The woman was taken to Sunrise Trauma where she passed away. Eastbound Desert Inn is closed at Eastern while Metro's fatal detail investigates. 

8 P.M.

UPDATE: Firefighters say a man snuck onto the sixth floor of the parking garage at the Fontainebleau and set some building materials on fire. The man has been apprehended and the fire has been extinguished. There were no injuries. 

7:12 P.M.

Firefighters are battling a 2-alarm fire at 2777 South Las Vegas Boulevard, near Sahara Avenue. Details are limited, as this is a developing situation. More info to come.

NOON

Two people exchanged gunshots with a security guard outside Reef Dispensaries in North Las Vegas. There are no reports of injuries. READ MORE

10:15 A.M.

The scooter rider died after a crash this morning near Sunset Park. READ MORE

5:51 A.M.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at 3600 Highland Drive, near Spring Mountain Road and Interstate 15.  

Responders reported a commercial building fully engulfed with smoke and flames. One person was transported to University Medical Center with burn injuries. The extent of that person's injuries are unknown.

The fire is under investigation.

3:48 A.M.

Officers are reporting a crash involving a vehicle and a rider of a motorized scooter on 3110 East Sunset Road. READ MORE
