The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
UPDATE 8 P.M.
Las Vegas police say a man caused a major disturbance inside the 99 Cent Store in the 3100 block of North Rancho Drive this afternoon. When the man was asked to leave he became angry and shot an unarmed security guard. A customer then shot the suspect. The suspect fled the store and was caught nearby. The suspect and the victim were both taken to UMC for their gunshot wounds.
3:50 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a shooting in the 3100 block of North Rancho Drive. Two people were shot and taken to the hospital in unknown condition. A person of interest is in custody at this time. Please avoid the area.

The LVMPD is currently working an OIS in the 2100 block of Citrus Hills Avenue. The scene remains dynamic. There is no media staging area at this time. More information will be made available shortly. Citrus Hills Avenue at Lake Mead is currently blocked, please avoid the area.
