The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

8:50 P.M.
NV Energy is reporting several power outages impacting over 2,000 customers in Southern Nevada. The zip code with the largest reported outages is 89130 in the northwest part of the valley with a little more than 1,900 customers impacted. For power outage updates click here.

1:20 P.M.
Police are now saying that it was a woman in her 50s that was killed in the crash. They say that she failed to stay in the travel lane while in a construction zone and hit 3 vehicles. She was seriously injured and died at the hospital. Her relationship to the children and the extent of their injuries is still unknown. Washington Avenue is expected to be closed another 4 to 5 hours. READ MORE.

12:30 P.M.
Las Vegas police say that a woman was killed in the crash at Washington Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. 3 children in the car were also injured and transported to a nearby hospital. A construction worker was also injured. Washington Avenue is shut down for approximately a quarter of a mile.

11:50 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue are tweeting that several people were injured in crash at Washington Avenue and Decatur Boulevard. Police say that the crash involves two vehicles, including a construction vehicle or piece of equipment.

10:30 A.M.
The intersection of Washington Avenue and Decatur Boulevard is closed to traffic because of a multi-vehicle crash.

7:55 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue on scene of fire in 1-story house at 1132 S. 15th Street. Occupant was in bathroom when smoke alarm went off. Occupant was able to escape but one dog was killed by fire.
