The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:15 P.M.

North Las Vegas police are investigating an officer-involved shooting near East Lake Mead Boulevard and North 5th Street. Please avoid the area. FULL STORY.

2:25 P.M.
Power is expected to be restored to all customers in the Mesquite/Overton area in approximately two hours after a fire damaged a power line earlier today.

1:35 P.M.
Police officers step in to stop fight at Fremont Street Experience after annual MLK Day parade. One officer reportedly injured by falling horse. Police say that multiple people were taken into custody. It is not known what started the fight.

1:30 P.M.
State Route 157 to Mount Charleston has reopened.

12:15 P.M.
State Route 157, west of State Route 158, is being closed because of snow. Traffic delays are expected. Please avoid area if possible.

11:05 A.M.
McCarran International Airport is reporting delays because of weather. McCarran says departure flights are delayed to Boston, New Jersey and New York. Arrival traffic is experiencing airborne delays of 15 minutes or less.

8:30 A.M.
Power is out in the Overton/Mesquite/Logandale/Moapa and Bunkerville area because of a fire near one of their power lines. Almost 16,000 customers are without power. It is not known at this time how long the power will be out. At this time, it is unknown how long the power will be out.

8:05 A.M.
Las Vegas Fire & Rescue on scene of house fire at 5100 Iowa Ave. LVFR says it is a vaccant, boarded-up house. No injuries reported at this time.

6 A.M.
There are currently more than 630 customers without power in Las Vegas valley. Click here for detailed information.

OVERNIGHT
A stabbing suspect was arrested by police after he attempted to get into an apartment on Folage Drive. Police say the male suspect stabbed a man around 6 p.m. Sunday on Valley Forge Avenue. Shortly after midnight, they received a call from a woman saying someone was trying to break into her apartment. Upon arrival, police found the man in a vehicle. After officers exhausted all reasonable attempts to get the suspect to exit vehicle peacefully, a team of officers along with K9 made entry into the vehicle and took the suspect into custody. The suspect sustained a bite to his left leg for which he is being treated for at the hospital. The stabbing suspect is expected to survive.
