This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for January 2, 2018.

7:56 P.M.

One person is dead after a crash on US-95 at Charleston Boulevard northbound according to Nevada Highway Patrol. The crash happened around 7:12 p.m. Delays are expected in that area.

1:46 P.M. 

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at 4731 San Leandro Ave., near Hacienda Avenue and Mountain Vista Street. Upon arrival, personnel reported smoke showing from the roof of a single story house. Crews made an offensive attack and knocked the fire down at a reported time of 1:53 p.m. The fire is under investigation. There were no injuries reported. It is unknown if there were occupants displaced and in need of the American Red Cross as a result of the incident. Damages have not been estimated.

10 A.M.

A man is dead and at least one other person is hurt in a fire near North Las Vegas Boulevard and Bruce Street. READ MORE.
