The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
6:40 P.M.
Officers responded to reports of a suicidal person inside a residence in west Las Vegas, near Rainbow Boulevard and Windmill Lane. Police were informed there was a shot fired from inside the home before they arrived. Authorities had Windmill Lane closed at the scene, east of Rainbow Boulevard, while they treated the incident as a barricade situation.
3:30 P.M.
Las Vegas police responded to a robbery call at a Chase Bank located at the corner of Desert Inn Road and Durango Drive. An older man left the bank with an undisclosed amount of cash after demanding money, according to police. No further immediate details were released.
5:30 A.M.
Firefighters respond to bedroom fire at 336 N. 14th Street. Six people, six children displaced. No injuries.
