9 P.M.
A moped rider is recovering in the hospital with critical injuries after a crash around 8 p.m. near Russell and Pecos roads, police say. Pecos is closed in both directions. Drivers are asked to avoid the area. Impairment does not appear to be a factor, according to authorities. READ MORE
OVERNIGHT
A Las Vegas police officer has been injured by gunfire in a shooting near Decatur Boulevard and Gowan Road. Two other people were also shot. All injuries appear to be non-life-threatening. READ MORE.
