The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

10:55 P.M.
LVMPD is on the scene of a single-vehicle crash at Valley View and Twain involving a vehicle that lost control, went off the roadway and collided into a large landscaping rock and light pole. READ UPDATE

The driver of the vehicle was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Valley View is closed between Schiff & Viking.

Eastbound Twain is closed west of Valley View.

9:30 P.M.

UPDATE AUG. 24: The Clark County Coroner has identified the decedent as 35-year-old Fidel Dominguez-Valero from Las Vegas. His death was due to blunt force injuries and has been ruled an accident.

LVMPD Traffic Fatal detectives are responding to a 3-vehicle collision involving a motorcycle that occurred at Nellis & Washington. READ UPDATE

The motorcyclist was pronounced deceased at the scene.

Nellis is closed between Harris & Sandra.

Washington is closed between Marion & Ringe. Avoid the area.

9:20 P.M.
Las Vegas police are investigating a critical crash that involved a bicyclist and a vehicle at the intersection of Martin Luther King Boulevard and Washington Avenue.

The bicyclist was transported to the hospital and is in critical condition.

Traffic delays were reported at the intersection for the on-scene investigation.

OVERNIGHT UPDATE
Las Vegas police say a 52-year-old man is dead after getting hit by a car near Nellis Boulevard and Carey Avenue late last night.

Officers say he was collecting scrap metal from the road when he was hit shortly before 10 p.m. on Tuesday. The man was not in a marked crosswalk, police say. His identity will be released at a later time by the coroner.

The driver stayed on the scene and was not impaired or speeding, according to authorities.

This death marks the 60th traffic-related death in the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department's jurisdiction for the year 2020.

The crash remains under investigation.
