Las Vegas breaking news for April 20, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for April 20, 2018.

10:15 P.M.

Las Vegas police are responding to a homicide in the 3700 block of Hazelwood Street, near Twain and Swenson. A man was shot around 9:30 p.m.. No other details have been released yet. 

9:50 P.M.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue Heavy Rescue Team 44 are en route to a rollover collision 38 miles north of Las Vegas on I-15. Two people are trapped under the vehicle. 

4:30 P.M.

A U.S. Bank branch located at 3330 S. Hualapai Way, near Desert Inn Road was robbed. Las Vegas police robbery detectives and the FBI have responded to the scene. There are no reported injuries. READ MORE.

4:15 P.M.

The window washers at the Palms hotel-casino were stuck after their ropes became entangled due to winds, according to the Clark County Fire Department. The window washers were able to lower themselves by hand while rescue units stood by if needed. There were no reported injuries. 

2:30 P.M.

A two-car crash is blocking the intersection of Craig Road and Nellis Boulevard. One vehicle is rolled on its side. No injuries are reported at this time.

1:12 P.M.

The window washers that were stuck outside the Palms hotel-casino were rescued safely by the Clark County Fire Department.

12:27 P.M.

Clark County Firefighters are at the Palms hotel-casino. Window washers are reportedly stuck outside one of the towers. More information to come.

11:33 A.M.

Clark County firefighters say that a cab-over camper caught fire at 6271 Explorer Drive, near Torrey Pines Drive and Tropicana Avenue, around 5:50 a.m. One person was taken to the hospital with serious injuries.

10:01 A.M.

Las Vegas police are trying to locate two men who they say robbed an armored truck in the 6000 block of West Tropicana near Jones Boulevard. READ MORE

5:50 A.M.

Firefighters tackled flames in the yard of a home near Sahara Avenue and Lindell Road, near Decatur Boulevard. Chopper 13 saw flames coming from a shed and scattered debris in the yard.

OVERNIGHT:

A motorcycle and a party bus were involved in a crash on South Las Vegas Boulevard and Clark Avenue, near Fremont Street, around 10:08 p.m. on April 19. FULL STORY
