The following is a roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.

UPDATE 2 P.M.: Police say one man is in custody after a barricade situation near Turnberry Towers. FULL STORY.

UPDATE 1:22 P.M.: A woman is safe after a barricade situation near Turnberry Towers on Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue. Joe W. Brown Drive near Sahara Avenue and near Karen Avenue is closed as the investigation continues. Police say they responded to a 911 call at 11:11 a.m. of a man armed with a gun arguing with a woman. Both people were last seen entering a unit. The woman has come out of the unit. No injuries reported at this time. The investigation is ongoing.

11:11 A.M.
Las Vegas police are responding to reports of an armed subject at Turnberry Towers near Paradise Road and Sahara Avenue. Officers say they are investigating the validity of the call and operating on an abundance of caution. Karen Avenue near Paradise Road and near Joe W. Brown Drive is shut down.

6 A.M.
Chopper 13 is above a crash on 215 near Warm Springs Road. Several cars are involved. 3 lanes are blocked off on the freeway going northbound, 2 lanes are open. Slow moving traffic is backed up until Windmill Lane.

OVERNIGHT
Several major US airlines were reporting malfunctions with flight planning software early this morning, leading to delays across the country. Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines and American Airlines said the issues caused passengers to experience delays. READ MORE
