LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — This is the daily roundup of breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley.
7 P.M.
North Las Vegas police were called to an area near East Carey Avenue and North Las Vegas Boulevard where a woman was shot in the leg during a dog attack. Officers said a person shot the animal, who wasn't letting the woman go, and the bullet also struck the woman. The canine's condition wasn't immediately released while the woman's injury was considered non-life threatening.
11:40 A.M.
Police are investigating a fight at Western High School. Several students were pepper sprayed. READ MORE.
6:30 A.M.
Police are investigating a stabbing during a fight near Gowan Road and Tenaya Way. One person transported to MountainView Hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue responds to fire in vacant duplex used by sqyatters at 914 S. Casino Center Blvd. No other properties damaged. No injuries.
