LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — The Georgia Congresswoman who claimed the 1 October shooting was staged has been removed from her committee assignments.
House Democrats voted to punish Republican Marjorie Taylor Greene for her comments.

Aside from her remarks about 1 October, Greene has also reportedly spread falsehoods about school shootings, the 9/11 terror attacks. Additionally, she has suggested threats of violence against her Democratic colleagues.

Greene is now trying to walk some of those comments back, but did not directly apologize for the things she has said.
Nevada Republican Mark Amodei was the one Nevada representative who voted against removing Greene from her committee assignments.

But he did call some of her statements unacceptable.
