LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Authorities are investigating a shooting that occurred overnight.
It happened just after 4 a.m. in the 4100 block of S Maryland Parkway, near Flamingo Road, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
Dispatch received several 911 calls reporting a man had been shot, according to LVMPD Homicide Lt. Robert Price.

When officers arrived, they found one victim suffering from gunshot wounds, and they rendered aid until medical personnel arrived.
The victim was taken to Sunrise Hospital, where he was ultimately pronounced dead.
Price said the incident began as a fight outside in the parking lot between two men, and at some point, one man took out a gun and shot the victim.
Officers also located the shooter, identified as 26-year-old Jordan Garcia, who had stayed at the scene, and took him into custody, Price said. He was booked in the Clark County Detention Center on charges of open murder with a deadly weapon.
Police believe this to be an isolated incident and that there is no further threat to the public.
