LVMPD: Suspect dead after shooting near Lake Mead Blvd., Sloan Lane

According to Capt. Adam Seely, Bureau Commander of LVMPD's Internal Oversight and Constitutional Policing, police received reports at approximately 12:25 p.m. about a man shooting a gun into traffic in the area of Lake Mead Boulevard and Sloan Lane.

When officers arrived, they gave commands to the suspect to drop the weapon, but he "did not comply" and eventually shot towards officers, Seely said. Officers returned fire, striking the suspect. He was pronounced dead at the scene, according to Seely.
