LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A homicide investigation is underway near Maryland and Tropicana, after a man shot and killed his roommate Thursday morning, according to Metro Police.
The homicide occurred on the 4800 block of Spencer St. Police say they started to received calls about a man being shot at around 10:15 a.m. Thursday.

When police arrived, they found a man suffering from gunshot wounds in a parking lot.
Medical crews arrived, and the man was transported to Sunrise Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.
Clark County Coroner's Office officials later identified the victim as 45-year-old Antwon Watson.
Officers were able to identify the car that fled in the northwest valley and the suspect was taken into custody.
According to police, the suspect and the victim were roommates who got into a dispute that turned physical. At one point, the suspect, 38-year-old Mychael Thompson, took out a firearm and shot the victim.
Police say this is an isolated incident.
Thompson was booked into the Clark County Detention Center for open murder with a deadly weapon.
