HENDERSON (KTNV) — A Clark County grand jury has indicted Henderson City Councilwoman Carrie Cox on a felony charge for allegedly recording a private conversation while hiding behind a curtain.

Cox, who represents Ward 3, faces a charge of monitoring or attempting to monitor a private conversation. The indictment was filed Wednesday.
According to the indictment, the alleged crime occurred around Jan. 9, 2025.
Councilwoman Monica Larson, who represents Ward 2, is named as a victim in the case alongside two others: Michael Hiltz and Richard Smith.
Channel 13 reached out to the City of Henderson who sent us this statement:
"The City of Henderson is a nationally award-winning municipality recognized for its commitment to excellence, best practices and sound governance. The integrity of our organization and the trust of our residents remain our highest priorities. This is a criminal matter that does not involve the City. Therefore, the City has no further comment at this time."
Channel 13 has also reached out to Councilwoman Cox's office for comment. On Thursday we received a statement from Cox's attorney Josh Tomsheck saying:
"The beauty of our criminal justice system is that all those accused within it are presumed innocent and afforded the opportunity to defend themselves through the court process. This Indictment is very new. There is much more that will come to light throughout this process and Mrs. Cox very much looks forward to addressing these allegations through the appropriate channels in Court. My client has a long history as a contributing and dedicated citizen of her community, has absolutely zero criminal history, and is confident those things will remain true and she will be exonerated when all is said and done."

Pernell Graham was arrested by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Detectives said they believe there may be additional victims due to Graham’s involvement with youth.
Police investigating reported shooting near north valley business
It happened around 7:30 a.m. in the 4900 block of West Craig Road, just west of N Decatur Boulevard, according to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department.
