BOULDER CITY (KTNV) — Channel 13 has obtained an arrest report that sheds light on the arrest of 46-year-old Frank Mariani, a football coach at Boulder City High School.
Mariani was arrested for lewdness and child abuse, the city's police department announced on Thursday, Jan. 29.
A three-month investigation led to the arrest of Frank Mariani, officials stated in a news release.
According to the arrest report, Mariani, who would go by "Coach Bubba," committed a series of offenses against the student football players.
Some of the actions alleged include: sharing sexual dreams of himself and minors having sex, going behind "several players motioning as if he was having sex with the players, commonly referred to as dry humping," "removed his pants inside of Fallon High School locker room, showing off his eagle underwear, and moving his genitals around for the players to see," among others actions listed in the report.
The alleged actions listed occurred between May 2024 and November 2025, during the football season.
While the 23-page report states that 25 forensic interviews were made during the investigation, the majority of the report is heavily redacted.
The police department's investigation began in November based on "allegations made by several minors that one of the Boulder City High School Football coaches had committed lewd acts upon several minor children," officials stated.
On Dec. 31, the case was submitted to the Clark County District Attorney's Office for approval of a warrant to arrest Mariani. The arrest warrant was approved on Jan. 27, and Mariani was arrested the next day, according to police.
Mariani was booked into the Clark County Detention Center on three counts of lewdness with a child and seven felony counts of first-degree child abuse or neglect.
In response to Channel 13's request, the Clark County School District shared the following statement Boulder City High School Principal Amy Wagner shared with the school community about Mariani's arrest:
The safety of our students is the number one priority at Boulder City High School. As always, we want to keep you informed of important matters happening within our school community. An employee assigned to our school was arrested on charges of child abuse and lewdness. The employee will not be allowed on campus. The Boulder City Police Department is the lead investigative agency. We wish to assure you that we will cooperate fully with law enforcement in their investigation. Please know that this is a police investigation and, as school officials, we do not have additional information to share...
According to Boulder City court records, Mariani posted bail on Feb. 2. Mariani is due to appear in court for his arraignment on Tuesday, March 10.
