According to Lt. Price, police received a 911 call around 5:30 p.m. this evening from an individual who said their neighbor had been stabbed.
Upon their arrival, officers located a man inside suffering from multiple stab wounds. Medical personnel joined LVMPD on scene, where they pronounced the man dead.

Lt. Price shared that minutes later, LVMPD received a second call from the victim's family. They shared that the suspect involved called them and said he had killed their family member. The suspect also said that he had gone to a parking garage on the Strip, and was planning to harm himself.
Metro deployed drones and located the suspect at a parking garage. Officers arrived shortly after, and made an attempt to make verbal contact with the suspect.

Lt. Price said that during this exchange, the suspect jumped from the garage. Officers rendered aid, but he was pronounced dead on the scene by medical personnel.
LVMPD's investigation revealed that the two men were roommates in their 70s who had gotten into a heated argument on Thursday, which ended with the suspect stabbing the victim. The suspect then took the victim's car to a parking garage on the Strip.
