LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Clark County officials will hold a fact-finding review on Friday to look into the circumstances surrounding the death of Byron Williams while in police custody.
Williams was stopped by officers in 2019 for allegedly riding his bike without safety lights.
Police say he ran from officers. When he was eventually caught and put in handcuffs, he passed out after telling officers he couldn't breathe.
The coroner ruled his death a homicide saying he died of several factors, including a methamphetamine overdose and prone restraint.
The fact-finding review will be held Friday morning at 8 a.m. at the Clark County Government Center.
