Las Vegas breaking news for January 26, 2018

This is a roundup of all the breaking news from around the Las Vegas valley for January 26, 2018.

9:15 P.M.

Las Vegas Fire & Rescue attacked a fire located at the vacant Rummel Motel at South Las Vegas Boulevard and Oakey Boulevard at 8:45 p.m. This motel has burned at least twice previously. There are no injuries.

9:18 A.M.

Heavy smoke is being seen across the valley from a house fire at 2302 Glenwood Lane, located near Judson Avenue and Christy Lane. The Clark County Fire Department reported a fully involved double-wide mobile home. Crews operated from a defensive position protecting other structures until the fire was knocked out. Initial reports stated there was possibly one victim in the structure.   A secondary search was performed after the fire was knocked down and no victims were located. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. 

7:45 A.M.

The Clark County Fire Department responded to a report of a fire at 2690 Karen Court, near Joe Brown Drive and Sahara Avenue. Upon arrival, command reported a working fire on the 3rd floor. Crew pulled offensive lines and had a knockdown of the fire at 7:50 a.m. No injuries were reported. The fire is under investigation. Damages have not been estimated.

6:30 A.M.

Police say they shot and killed a man earlier today after he shot and killed his wife. It all began shortly after midnight. It happened near St. Rose Parkway and Giles. READ MORE

Firefighters respond to report of fire on Primrose Path near Vegas and Rancho drives. READ MORE

12:08 A.M.

Las Vegas police are investigating a homicide near St. Rose Parkway and Las Vegas Boulevard. Police say a man shot and killed his wife. The man has not been caught. READ MORE.

12:23 A.M.

Las Vegas police are looking for the person who shot a man near Maryland Parkway and Bonanza. The victim is in stable condition. The man was shot in the stomach. Police believe drugs were involved.
