LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Interstate 15 northbound between Russell and Flamingo roads is expected to be closed overnight Thursday as work on Project Neon continues.
The Nevada Department of Transportation announced the closure will run from 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Friday.
Additionally, the Russell Road and Tropicana Avenue on-ramps to northbound I-15 will also be closed from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.
These temporary closures are needed for an active traffic management sign installation as part of Project Neon’s nearly $1 billion 4-mile-long widening of the highway.
The project is 93 percent finished and scheduled for substantial completion in the summer, according to NDOT.
