LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — A crash near East Sunset Road and South Sandhill Road on Monday killed one person and injured two others.

Police say that a Chevy Equinox was traveling east on Sunset Road, approaching the intersection on Sandhill Road, when the driver failed to yield to westbound traffic and made a left turn. The Chevy struck a Honda, which hit another car, a Toyota, that was stopped at a red light facing south on Sandhill Road.

Medical crews arrived and transported all three drivers to Sunrise Hospital. Despite life saving measures, the driver of the chevy succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital. The two drivers that were hit only got minor injuries.

Impairment is not suspected.

The collision remains under investigation.
