LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — UNLV Athletics hosted a press conference Friday to discuss playing football this season.

UNLV Director of Athletics Desiree Reed Francois, UNLV Football Head Coach Marcus Arroyo, UNLV's Resident Epidemiology Advisor Dr. Brian Labus and UNLV Team Physician/Medical Director Dr. Wade Gaal are participating in the press conference.
UNLV will follow the testing protocol of the Mountain West conference, testing three times a week with an antigen test. This will begin starting Oct. 10. There had been testing once a week for football practice currently. @KTNV

EARLIER: Mountain West discusses decision to play 8-game schedule starting Oct. 24
The 2020 Mountain West Championship game will not be in Las Vegas this year.
The league says it will be at the Mountain West school that finishes with the best record. UNLV football will begin play on Oct. 24.
Mountain West teams will play 8 league games, all against conference opponents.
The league championship game is Dec. 19.
