LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Raider Nation says it has wanted to share its Silver and Black pride with Las Vegas, even before the Raiders take the field in Southern Nevada.

Raider Cody and Kenny King Jr., creators of the Raider Cody Podcast, partnered with nonprofit organization Greater Youth Sports Association to help raise funds for at-risk elementary-age children in the valley. With the money going towards after-school sports, reading mentorship and character development programs.

Within days they had raised nearly $1,500, and the goal of hitting $5,000 seemed likely considering the fundraiser was to run until July 4 - former Raiders owner Al Davis’ birthday.

Nearly two weeks before the end of the fundraiser, the goal was reached, and Cody then announced that fans had raised a total of $20,000.

A check presentation occurred on Friday with the money expected to help four partner schools and more than 400 at-risk children.

We are overwhelmed with gratitude! Thank you #raidernation, @raidercody and @the_kennykingjr! We are able to sponsor FOUR SCHOOLS this next year because of your generosity! $20,000, Let’s Go! #gysa
