LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — MGM Resorts has created an NBA Summer League fan experience inside the Fan Village at The Park.
On July 5 and 6 fans will have the opportunity to visit a variety of basketball-themed activities throughout the two days.
The experience will include the following interactive festivities:
Basketball Connect Four
A large connect four board will be an ‘open court’ for groups of fans to scrimmage against one another in a game of Basketball Connect Four.
Court Series Mural
A larger-than-life portrait built entirely out of 6,400 game-used basketball court blocks will be available for the perfect photo opportunity.
Gold Ball Pyramid
The installation features large gold basketballs stacked on top of each other creating a 6’3” high pyramid that will make a glamourous ‘golden hour’ photo opportunity for fans.
In The Zone
Like professional basketball players when they focus before a game, fans can get ‘in the zone’ by participating in a variety of fun, interactive basketball-themed carnival games.
Life-Size Larry O’Brien Trophy
Fans can picture what it’s like to ball-out like a champion while taking photos with a life-size Larry O’Brien Trophy.
Oversized Inflatable Ball
The fan-favorite Instagram-able moment returns with the 20-foot-tall inflatable basketball.
Sling Shot Fan Jam
Fans can ‘shoot their shot’ by competing to get as many baskets, not by dribbling and shooting, but rather scoring buckets with a sling shot.
Small Stars Display/Trivia
Guests can compete in a basketball-themed trivia contest to win Small Stars professional basketball players figurines of.
Spin Wheel
All guests are invited to test their luck and spin the Summer League Spin Wheel for a variety of prizes.
Top Team Lockers
A row of lockers featuring six of the most popular professional basketball teams will be available for fans to live out their sports-fanatic dreams. A replica sportscaster’s desk also will be set up next to the lockers.
