LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Plant-based meat was the top food trend in Nevada, according to Google Trends data.
The cooking and barbecue website Seriously Smoked plugged over 50 "food trend" articles into Google Trends to see what trends had the highest interest for each state from 2010 though the end of 2019.
Google analyzed the data and returned a state by state interest score of 1-100. Whichever term had the highest score "won" that state for the decade.
Pumpkin spice won the most states with 15, followed by milk alternatives with 13 states.
Plant-based meats won nines states. Avocado toast won three, followed by quinoa and burrito bowls, each with two,
Kale, acai bowls and kombucha all won one state each.
