Thousands expected for New Year's Eve party on Fremont Street

LAS VEGAS (KTNV) — Approximately 35,000 people are expected to attend the New Year's Eve festivities tonight on Fremont Street in downtown Las Vegas.

The party will take place under the Fremont Street Experience Viva Vision canopy, which just received a $32 million upgrade that made it 7 times brighter and 4 times sharper than before.

Organizers of America's Party says there will be 11 bands of 3 stages.

There will also be a 4th stage with an all-night EDM show.

  • 7 p.m. The Chainsmokers
  • 8 p.m. Steve Aoki
  • 9 p.m. Imagine Dragons, Year in Review, Times Square Ball Drop
  • 10 p.m. World premiere, “Mixology” Light Show
  • 11 p.m. The Killers
  • Midnight – New Year’s Celebration, “Mixology” Encore
  • 1 a.m. Tiesto

But there's several things you need to know if you are going to the massive party. You can't bring any big bags, strollers, coolers, chairs, masks, weapons or glass.

Tickets are $45 per person plus fees and you must buy the tickets online before you go downtown.

The Fremont Street Experience will be closed to foot traffic beginning at 5 p.m. and they will begin letting ticket holders in at 6.
