The Animal Foundation will be partnering with Telemundo Las Vegas/KBLR to participate in the nationwide Clear the Shelter Day event from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Aug. 19.
The one-day event is held at Animal Foundation campus at 655 North Mojave Road. The shelter will waive adoption fees for all animals waiting for forever homes.
Several hundred dogs, cats, and small animals, including rabbits, will be available for adoption. The no-cost adoptions (city/government fee up to $10 may apply) on Aug. 19 will include spay/neuter surgery, microchip, and up-to-date vaccines.
The Animal Foundation takes in an average of 80 pets per day and is always in need of patrons to adopt shelter pets.
Last year, Clear the Shelter Day resulted in more than 50,000 pets finding new homes.
