HELP of Southern Nevada has begun collecting gently used formal gowns and accessories at all local Al Phillips The Cleaners locations for their annual Gown Town event.
The nonprofit is teaming up with 98.5 KLUC for this year’s Gown Town event.
It will be held on Feb. 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Town Square Las Vegas. A portion of proceeds will benefit HELP of Southern Nevada’s various programs including the Shannon West Homeless Youth Center.
Gown Town provides needy high school students with an affordable alternative to prom dress shopping by offering the donated gowns for just $20 each.
Upon collection, Al Phillips The Cleaners will professionally clean and steam the donated prom, formal, bridesmaid and wedding gowns.
